Which entrance exam will your child sit?
Each school chooses its own entrance test, so the first job is to find out which one your child's schools use. This guide explains the two tests we cover in detail, and points you to the schools' own pages for the dates that count.

How an admissions year usually runs
Many London 11+ schools followed this shape in the 2026 cycle. It is an example, not a deadline: every school sets its own dates, and 13+ routes often register one or two years earlier. Always check the school's page.
01
Register
Autumn of Year 6 for many 11+ schools, often earlier for 13+.
02
Assess
An online test or the school's own exam, usually November to early December.
03
Interview
School interviews, mostly in January.
04
Offers
Many London schools made offers on 12 February 2027, with acceptance in early March.
